Success! Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, cheered and sponsored the 8th Annual Dam Run. This was one of our best events ever, except for the mosquitos! The cool and overcast weather was great for running. Lots of supportive families and friends were on hand to cheer the runners across the finish line. Race times were very competitive, be sure to check out how young some of the runners are! This was also the first race done with the WFRC's new chip timing system. It worked great! The results were much easier to track and sort with the the chip timing and new software. Plus, the software creates results to post on our website. In case you missed your chance to volunteer for the Dam Run, we are giving you another chance to help with a club run. We could use your help at Trails Fest. The club needs people to make the run successful. There are lots of tasks to be done and we are always looking for volunteers. No experience needed! Some of the areas you could help with: Distributing flyers and entry forms -- Finding sponsors -- Finish line worker -- Packet stuffing -- Packet pickup -- Course marking You can send the club an email or contact any of the directors if you want to help the club and the running community out. |
